Brett Picciotti, D.O. is an Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine specialist. Board certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, he uses a “hands-on” approach to patient care, addressing the muscles, joints and soft tissues of the largest system in the body – the musculoskeletal system.
Dr. Picciotti is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey. He completed a rotating internship at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, New Jersey and a residency in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (NMM/OMM) at the University of North Texas Health Science Center – Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Forth Worth, Texas. He has additional training from the Osteopathic Cranial Academy – a professional organization dedicated to expanding post-graduate training in osteopathy – in Osteopathic Cranial Manipulative Medicine.
Dr. Picciotti has a special interest in proliferative/regenerative medicine (which focuses on healing damaged tissues through replacement and regeneration of cells, tissues or organs to restore or establish normal function in the body) and integrative medicine. This includes prolotherapy – (an injection treatment to relieve pain and promote growth of normal cells), platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy (injection therapy to promote healing), and stem cell treatments.
A native of Camden County, Dr. Picciotti completed his undergraduate studies at The College of New Jersey. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the Osteopathic Cranial Academy. He is a diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and is board certified by the National Osteopathic Board of Medical Examiners. Additionally, he is credentialed by the Department of Osteosciences at Jefferson Hospital in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and is Adjunct Faculty at the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine and the University of North Texas Health Science Center – Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine.
He has been trained in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT), joint injections, prolotherapy and PRP therapy, peripheral nerve blocks, dry needling, trigger point therapy, Biopuncture, musculoskeletal ultrasound, Botox and gait analysis/orthotics.
Dr. Picciotti lives in Voorhees with his wife and two dogs. When not seeing patients, he enjoys traveling, surfing, fishing, golfing and spending time with friends and family.
